Interview Experience 535

Round 0: This phase comprised an online assessment with four sections:

  • Aptitude
  • Technical
  • English
  • DSA (which included one Dynamic Programming question).

A total of 13 individuals advanced to the next stage.

Round 1: This round was an online interview. Initially, the interviewer began with an introduction, and I reciprocated by introducing myself as well. We proceeded to discuss my projects, during which I shared my screen and presented the details of my projects. The interviewer posed questions related to React.js, touching on topics such as reconciliation. Subsequently, I was asked about my favorite data structure, to which I mentioned that I favored the stack. The interviewer inquired about the reasons behind my preference. Furthermore, I had to tackle two DSA questions:

  1. Implementing a stack using a linked list.
  2. Performing an inorder traversal without using recursion.

At the end of this round, 9 out of the initial 13 candidates were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2: In this phase, which was also conducted online, I commenced with my self-introduction. The interviewer expressed interest in my projects and inquired about them. Additionally, I was presented with a DSA question:

  1. Detecting a loop in a linked list.

A total of 7 individuals advanced to the subsequent round after this phase.

Round 3: This round encompassed both HR and technical aspects. I began by introducing myself. The interviewer delved into my internship project and other projects, seeking detailed explanations. Furthermore, he asked me several concise questions pertaining to fundamental computer science concepts:

  1. Differentiating between runtime polymorphism and compile-time polymorphism.
  2. Highlighting the distinctions between RDBMS and NoSQL.
  3. Elaborating on primary keys, foreign keys, and unique keys.

The interviewer also presented two riddles for me to solve:

  1. There is a goat, a tiger, a man, and a bundle of grass on one side of a river. There's a boat which can only carry two at a time and can only be rowed manually by the man. How can they cross the river?
  2. There are 27 coins, all except one are the same weight, the odd one is heavier than the rest. You must determine the minimum number of times balance used to determine which is the odd one out using an old-fashioned balance.

Additionally, the classic HR query, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?," was posed.

Ultimately, the selection process concluded with candidates being chosen, and I was fortunate to be among those selected.
